How to Give
Giving in Time of Crisis
As the COVID-19 pandemic disrupts your daily routines, the same is true for our West Virginia communities. In a short time, much changed to ensure the safety and well-being of our WVU and 4-H family and friends. Our WVU Extension Service is the University’s frontline connection to our entire West Virginia community and we are uniquely positioned to support the frequently changing needs of our fellow residents during this unprecedented time. While this event is unprecedented, we have come together during other challenging times with one guiding constant — the overwhelming generosity of our university and 4-H families. In the spirit of Mountaineers leading, we encourage you to continue this tradition by giving to areas that are important to you and will have the most impact on your community and the state of West Virginia.
To support Extension Service COVID-19 response efforts, we encourage gifts to the Family Nutrition program which works hard to help families access adequate food and nutrition.
Browse special areas of need that you can support, and you may designate your gift to support a specific county program or any part of the WVU community. Your generosity at this particular time will make an immense impact.
When you give, you empower WVU Extension Service to create opportunities for the future of West Virginia. Our goal is to build and sustain a safer, healthier and more productive way of life for those living all over the Mountain State. Through your generosity and commitment are we able to put the academic research, knowledge and resources of WVU to work across our 55 counties.
Ways to Give
WVU Extension Service supports the lives of West Virginians in so many ways – if you’ve been touched by a particular program, you can make a gift to directly support those efforts. To enable the Extensions Service’s overall work and ability to respond in particular times of need (like floods or pandemics), please consider a gift to the Extension Service Dean/Director’s Fund (2U104)
Directly support one of Extension's established funds by visiting the WVU Foundation online at:https://give.wvu.edu/extension.
From 4-H to Fire Service support and training to feeding programs and agriculture assistance, WVU Extension Service is dedicated to supporting the great West Virginia community. If you are interested in making a significant contribution or creating a long-lasting impact to an Extension Service program, we can establish a fund, endowment, or endowed scholarship in your name or in honor of a loved one. Minimum gifts depend on the purpose of the fund. Contact the Extension Development team today for more information.
